Some aspects of flying in Europe are different than flying in other areas of the world. Europe has specific avionics requirements and ATC procedures due to the high-density traffic areas in the center of Europe (mainly between Frankfurt - Amsterdam - London - Paris). Flight planning is a challenge due to the multitude of specific EuroControl route restrictions and even today there are differences in ATC procedures between various countries in Europe.
